I entered the yarn information, but for some reason it didn't post.  I am using 16/2 LINEN (my frightful fiber in lipstick and half bleached) for warp and pattern/tabby weft.  Pattern weft will either be doubled or tripled depending on sampling.

With that lipstick, this is sure to be a standout. Looking forward to seeing it develop! Keep us posted.

I will continue to post pictures as the project develops...although, please be patient with me.  My life is a little crazy right now with design work, 3 boys in football and XC and a German exchange student arriving in 3 days.

I was really inspired by the linen pieces I saw in Norway this past summer and the red and white color palette was so striking, beautiful and classic.  I am a bit worried because I normally warp front to back on my Glimakra and with linen I have to switch methods.  It is also been very dry with a severe drought here in Iowa, so humidity is very low.  I have my spray bottle waiting.  I am just hoping and praying all goes well...I have high hopes for a beautiful table runner to remind me of Norway!

It's better to take your time and have fun!

This will be a beautiful runner. The 16/2 linen is quite strong, and should be fine. The spray bottle or a humidifier will help it to be have better, as would dampening the bobbins. Be careful not to wind wet cloth onto the cloth beam as it can mildew.  Also, be careful of the red running both during washing and ironing while damp.

I love the colors you've chosen. 16/2 linen will make a beautiful runner. Please post pics of the runner when you're finished!
