Once upon a time I found an old skein of varigated green acrylic yarn in my stash. I thought it would be perfect to see just how wide a piece I could make on my inkle loom. It wouldn't cost anything and I didn't care if it didn't come out well. Well, I had a few issues with a sticky warp and it didn't come out perfect but I found the maximum width my loom will make. The narrow strip of cloth sat in my laundry room for a while and then I found a pattern on line for creating a bag out of a long strip of fabric. I'd been wanting to make a bag for carrying my new kindle so I didn't accidently drop it. I checked measurements and the width was a perfect fit. I hand stitched the edges of the fabric together with a ladder stitch and even added in a little pocket just the right size to put my debit card or a couple folded bills to pay for lunch in and now my e-reader has a new home. Here's the website for instructions on making the bag: http://donisdelis.blogspot.com/2009/01/little-tutorial.html
