Hello fellow weavers. I have attempted this houndstooth pattern for several months and I still cannot get it to work! I have changed the density of my warp several times because I thought this may be the issue however it still seems to be weaving as a twill and doesn't look anything like a houndstooth. I threaded my shafts 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 alternating between black and white as the pattern states and I have triple checked to make sure my peddles were correct. I also used different density weft yarns but that didn't help either. I am desperate to know what I am doing wrong!

I have attached photos of the weaving along with photos of the pattern and what it is suppose to look like. ANY feedback wouldbe wonderful!

Weaving a little further and weave a stripe of white weft.

You should look closely at your draft - L - LIGHT (color) and D - DARK.

You alternate 8 light and 8 dark both in warp and weft. If you include more than 8 threads in any direction you lose the houndstooth.

Like Joanne said, your next 8 white weft shots will complete the houndstooth pattern. :)  1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

Hi All,

I feel so silly, I realized the cream color weft was throwing me off and  I needed to weave more in order to see the pattern! Thanks for the feedback :)
