Handwoven 145 LindaLigon shawl

 This is an experiment!  I purposely chose 2 wools for the warp which shrink at different rates.  i warped it up thinking I could have it finished in time for the holidays, but then my day job got in the way.  Also, I had breakage on about 3 strings - I have the original heddles (the loom in almost 30 years old) and the friction is too much for this more fragile wool.

I started weaving about 2 weeks ago and got about 20 inches done, but then there was this event call CNCH 2010!  So now I am all fired up to get this done.  I had thought this might be a scarf, but if feels like it will be too stiff.  I saw some carry-all shapes in a booth that would work perfectly with this.  Now for the stretch of time to weave it up!
