 Hello everybody! My name is Monica Linares and I'm currently studying in University of the Ozarks, Clarksville, AR. My aunt is a handweaver from El Salvador and she plans to come visit me this fall (2011). She would like to know about the handweaving culture in AR and share her experience as a handweaver herself. Thus, I'm currently searching for handweaving exhibitions, fair, shops and museums to take her during the months of October and November, 2011. What places do you all recommend in AR? I know this is the right place to ask since you are all weavers :). Thanks for your help! :)

Shade Tree Weaver

The Ozark Folk Center has a weaving exhibition and demonstration building. This is where I found out how relaxing weaving is. I have since bought my first loom and will be here next week. They are open 9-5, Mon-Sat, April through Mid-November. They are located in Mountain View.
