This just in from Interweave...

Weaving Today is launching a free e-book on baby blankets. There are 4 patterns included, from 4-8 shafts in Huck, Waffle Weave, and M's & O's. One of the patterns with crayon-brights in plain weave I recognized as inspiring to me in my early days as a new weaver.

These are classic designs. For a newbie weaver, having the recipe right there along with a BIG photo (so you can see how the structure is supposed to look) really helps.

And, if you decide to sprout wings and divert from the recipes - you can always ask your virtual guildmates here at Weavolution for help!

(Don't forget to say thank you to Interweave.)

The Swedish national association of handweavers has published a "weave of the month" for 3 and a half years now. Granted, text is in Swedish, but drafts are universal. (Yes, written for sinking shed. Either reverse tie-up, or weave as is and flip the fabric afterwards)

My own (local) guild also has published several free drafts - some translated, some not. Again, a diagram is a diagram, right? Here is the index.

Enjoy!

I was only tripped up by one "recipe" from 2010. (The woven bread just didn't compute in my weaving software! ;-)

Please pass along our gratitude to the weavers and the graphic/web designer who makes this monthly offering possible!
