check out this website of weaver Concepcion Tharin.

Wish I lived in Florida - I'd take some classes! ALthough my landlord said he was going to buy a condo down there...

I contacted her for lessons, as she lives kinda sorta in my neck of the woods, (about a 3-4 hour drive from me) . I will let you know what happens.

Wonderful! Can't wait to hear!

I'd make the 3-4 hour drive too.

Great! Then you must do a weave along and teach us all!

Hi everyone- That's a wonderful site and I found it inspirational.  In the photos of her work, and working, I saw a few answers to my questions about warp tautness, etc.  Thanks for the link!

Hi all,

As regards gauze, see also http://www.endangeredthreads.org/sheereleganceinfo.htm.

There´s a beautiful video on Picbil weaving in Alta Verapaz.

Or you can also see the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc-fDexWpao&feature=player_embedded

Cheers
