Is there anyone that can give me directions for folding up a Norwood floor loom?  I need to pack it up and take it 800 miles in a truck.  It is too beautiful to leave behind.

I have a 'baby' Norwood, purchased back in the early '70s when the company was still in Baldwin, MI, so don't know if it's the same design as yours.  For mine, the process is as follows (apologies for not knowing the exact terminology of the pieces):

1 - remove the treadles by unhooking the chains connecting the treadles to the jack mechanism.  Mine also has 2 hook and eyes, one in each front corner connecting the treadles to the uprights.  Disconnect these.

2 - Disconnect the two front uprights from the body of the loom; mine are connected with a bolt and wingnut.

3 - Disconnect the two rear uprights from the body of the loom; mine are connected with a dowel which can be pulled out (gently).

4 - Tip the body of the loom forward.

5 - Fold the front uprights in and secure with string or rope.

6 - Fold the rear uprights in and secure; mine has a second set of holes for the dowels to secure during transport.  This also keep the body of the loom in place.

Hope this helps.
