I purchased a 3/52 cashmere cobweb-like yarn to use (doubled) as a tabby base and warp for a 2/14 alpaca silk blend. I know that alpaca stretches over time and doesn't regain the elasticity. Does cashmere do anything like that? Any tips on weaving with it?
This will be the first time that I've ever woven with cashmere, so I'm a bit nervous about it. However, it's the perfect foil for this space-dyed alpaca silk.
