Hi Weavers,

I had the good fortune to attend a weaving basics workshop, so I am excited to practice. Having used only a boat shuttle to weave, I would like to use a stick or ski shuttle for a rag rug I've begun. Can anyone explain or direct me to a demonstration on how to "throw" this type of shuttle. I have information on how to wind one with fabric strips but not the proper way to pass it through the shed. Thanks to all.

I make rep weave rugs (only four so far so not expert) and the thick weft is on a stick shuttle and I just pass it through.  I did a quick search on the internet and found this video.  Hope it helps.

Thanks so much for the video link...It's helpful to see that I'm not doing it all wrong!
