Does anyone know what is going on with Fireside Looms? I have a beautiful loom that was made by the original owner, Gary Swett, and a few years ago I had aprons installed by the current owners. My loom came with many accessories, including a rotary temple. I would like to purchase different size pins for the temple, but my calls and emails are not being answered. Is Fireside gone for good?

Gary and Rachel sold
the business some years back to some folks in PA> They're website and contact info is in the 'resources' listing under manufacturers on the header of Weavolution page. They are active and can help you. Firesides' are wonderful looms. I had one and wove a lot on it until I moved to a place too small to be able to use it.........since been sold.
Use the resource page for contact info.

Yes, I know all of that.
Yes, I know all of that. However, the people in PA are not returning my emails or calls. Their website has not been updated in quite a while. If I knew who actually made the rotary temples, I would order the pins directly.
It could be they are vacationing someplace south?
Don't have any personal knowledge of this, but many folks here in the northeast spend their winters in NC through FL, or at least the coldest part of our winter.
Hopefully someone will provide more information for you! They are *excellent* looms.
Gail...
Might you show photos of what you need and maybe one of our talented members with woodworking expertise can make them for you! They would need exact length, diameter, etc...
Fireside Looms
I bought a rotary temple from them last summer, and have bought several Bluster Bay shuttles (they are the only place that I know of that you can specify the type of wood you want, which is important). They have always been very responsive, so I think they must be on vacation.
Fireside Looms still open as of 5/5/2015
I know this is an old post, but just in case anyone is still wondering, I spoke to Michelle at Fireside on 5/5/2015 and got some great information about how the temple works and how to attach it to my Schacht loom.
rotary temple
Are these still available from Fireside Looms and if so can anyone provide a link? Google is taking me to error pages.
No
Fireside has been out of business for several years. AVL sells rotary temples that fit their looms and may fit yours. There are other methods of using hooks or clamps at the side of the fabric and weights. And the classic temple.
