Felted Hat

I saw this hat in Handwoven and I had bought these looms on line but had only played with making squares, never made a project.  I wove the number of squares called for in the pattern and stitched them together.  I stitched the top very firmly as instructed in the pattern.  I threw it in the washing machine (in an old pillow case) and let it go.  It came out great.  It fits and I like it, even though my daughter says it looks funny.  She didn't know me in my younger days when I always wore hats.  I like the brim turned down.  When it is turned up it looks too much like "Jughead" for me.
