More adventures in tablet weaving. I started off with Linda Hendrickson's article (Weaver's Spring 1997, available from http://handweaving.net/DAItemDetail.aspx?ItemID=4433), but became rather bored with the patterns. I also took off a couple of months to recover from back surgery. I pulled this out again this week to see how my new Card Weaver's Surfboard worked.
I had some tension problems whenever I had to move the weaving forward, this will take some getting used to on the surfboard. Overall I'm reasonably happy with this as a loom-extremely portable and lightweight and I can tilt it to weave on it. My back is not completely happy with weaving just yet.
I found a pattern for a fox (Fuchs/Hund) on Babette's web site (b-oberholz.de) and put that into the weaving. He looks OK, although his nose is very pointy!
Overall, I think I prefer other types of tablet weaving- I found the doubleface to be rather boring to weave.
