I would like to convert my 15 inch Dorothy leclerc table loom from 4 harness to 8. Has anyone done this? Best place for parts? My loom is circa 1985ish...hoping the schematics have not changed over the years....

LeClerc still sells the extra 4 shaft section. To convert a 4 shaft to an 8 shaft also requires longer side frame parts to add extra depth to the frame to fit all 8 shafts and they also sell these. The 15 3/4 in.weaving width Dorothy parts are still being made. The kit to convert it is $361. If you find a used 4 shaft Dorothy of the same width and can get it for much less than $361, you could always use the shaft section from it and then order or have a woodworker make the longer side frame pieces. Note that making the loom an 8 shaft makes it non-foldable.
