I have a rigid heddle loom that I direct warp on.  I also just purchased a new Schacht Mighty Wolf loom and was wondering why I could not do a direct warp back to front without a raddle.  Any comments?  Do any of the weavers out there warp back to front without a raddle, and if so, please direct me to some good instructions.

You might be able to do a very short warp but you would still need to thread the heddles.   Why not wind a warp and beam it?   I use a reed and rough sley it rather than a raddle, but I use a warping board to wind my warp.  Check out Janet Dawsons class on Craftsy for lessons on how to weave on a floor loom...
