Alpaca That Goes Bump II

In my enthusiasm to continue playing with the fulled scarves from Sandra Rude's article in Fabrics That Go Bump, I dug in my stash and used up more of the closeout baby alpaca I had.  The color combination is somewhat strange, but it looked great in the plain weave sample - kind of heathered turquoise.  However, once fulled the plain weave areas became mottled and the unmixed colors of the fulled floats are reminiscent of some shag carpets I remember from my childhood.  Anyway, it is very soft and drapey even though I put it through several "shocking" hot to ice water baths.
