So I got a nice pile of reeds when I purchased my loom recently and I have been sorting through all the goodies. I was looking at the reed sizes and one is marked 10.5. I have never seen this size. Why would I want that size in particular? I have 12's and 20's and a 10. So I was wondering how come they would even have that random size. Any ideas?

Not exactly a typical reed, but custom reeds can be made in any size.  Perhaps this one was made to be double sleyed for 21 epi.

Did you actually measure to see if it is 10.5 dents per inch?

I did not measure the reed. I should do so. I am likeing the 21 epi idea. This loom's last owner was known to produce reasonably nice cloth of linen. I have a sample from the loom. Also lots of cone yarns from her were in the 20/2 range and a bit finer. I assume this is why I found no reeds below 10dpi. Just thought I'd ask around as I thought 10.5 must be custom and not common.
