So, this group hasn't worked out quite the way I had hoped. Is anyone bringing anything special to the sale? We always have such a wonderful variety of items, and it is exciting to see what comes looking for a new home. So if there is something you are looking for why not post it, maybe someone will bring an unused piece of equipment. I have a friend who is looking for either a vertical warping mill or a smaller upright warping mill. I would remind everyone that we cannot sell Fiber of any sort! I was given a stern talking to for a couple of things last year, so NO EXCEPTIONS! If you have extra fiber that needs a home you cannot put it with a spinning wheel you are selling, sorry and if you have spools to sell, please take all the warp off. If you have questions message me. I'm looking forward to another fantastic year. How many knitting machines will there be this year?

Bummed I won't be able to make it this year, as I will be traveling for work.

But there are FANTASTIC deals to be had! I suggest going to the auction tent early Saturday to review the items before the auction begins. I saw an incredible Tools of the Trade 45" go for just $500 two years ago.

Here is a small sample of what was for sale last year. If you want a deal on a loom of any kind, this is one the best places to go. (Unlike Rhinebeck, no admission, it's free!)

FYI, the spinning wheel below got a lot of pre-auction attention, and yes, that's a Dorothy folded on the table next to the wheel, along with a bajillion magazines!

I have been driving 3 hours to the festival the last 3 years, but for a number of reasons, will not go this year .... unless I know there will be an 8 shaft Purrington table loom. Anyone know if there will be one?

Purrington has had a booth the last two years in one of the tents. You may not find one of their looms in the auction, but check with him directly. I seem to recall he has at least one or two refurbished ones for sale each year at his booth, and if you are looking for something specific, let him know!

He will have a couple of refurbished 20"  4H/6T looms at the show this year.  Take one home with you! (I did last year, and I LOVE IT) I do not believe he has a table loom currently.  You can contact him directly through the website at purringtonlooms.com  In the six years that I have been selling the auction we have had 1 Purrington.  They are a well made loom and hard to come by.

Sorry you won't be there. I wanted to show you some tension modifications for the Inklette. I'll just have to mail you the one we've modified for trial.

and wish I only had a 3 hour drive. This is my ninth time. We have a huge 3 day girlfriend trip. I have always perused the auction items but haven't made the sale. I am looking for some random items like maybe some temples and reeds. Just "smalls" really. I have already checked for the times as well. There is always a man in the main barn with lots of weaving yarn on cones but he doesn't accept credit so I have seen people with arm loads of yarn have to put it all back as he didn't have their payment type. The labels on the cones say Davidson Corporation Easton Rapids, MI. It also says mill ends but I have never had a messy cone with a bunch of breaks. I like buying a pound cone for 6 bucks.
