This looks awful.  How did Bad Dog contribute?

Hi Alison!!  The Bad Grey One likes to chew paper.  He aws bored one day and found that i had beamed the mohair warp with brown paper- perfect for nibbling!  He chomped on the edge of the paper roll, the brake released, mohair warp spun off, and Fog kept tearing away at the paper, broke about 8 warps and made alot of tangles.  Took me 4 hours to untangled, repair and rewind the warp.

sympathize totally with you. I have my loom surrounded by baby gates when I am not hoe to protect it from curious dogs! The boy dog chester loves yarn - I often find him trying to sneak away with one of my skeins or a full knitting project!

My pugs are actually great about my weaving, and really leave everything alone. Except! I use old large yogurt containers for unwinding balls and cones, and that can be a fun time for pugs when they are bored. Oh, the older one also really likes nice, soft, expensive mohair and alpaca. Of course.

I have a designated dog sofa in my studio, under a countertop.  It used to be a human sofa, in a student apartment.  That helps keep my canine friends out of the warp stream.  It also helps that my studio is in the barn loft, and there are lots of interesting smells coming up through the floor.  In the summer, when the swallows are nesting downstairs, the dogs will just lie with their noses above the swallow nest.
