DebD - got a hold of them via their Facebook page - are alive and well, just over committed and having email server problems. According to the message I got, my Convergence order (a special angel wings order in curly maple) was held up because the wood was a special order. Maybe try through Facebook to find out your order status.
I've learned both and use either as it seems appropriate but wondering....
Another heads up for this program. While I am in the first year of this 2 year program, I have been very impressed with the work and the weavers who have graduated here. Amy Putansu is the instructor and she is a very knowledgeable fiber artist, a supportive teacher and is incredibly generous with her time and attention. I am very fortunate to already be living in Asheville, NC, and my home is only 30 minutes away from the campus in Clyde. The program is small (right now there are 5 students each in the first and second years of the program) and Amy has included dyeing and printing classes in the curriculum to expand the opportunities available for students to make their work unique. We are studying in the new Creative Arts Building that we share with the jewelry, clay and wood programs; we weave in a large wonderful light-filled studio with separate dyeing area and separate sewing room. Heaven!
Shanny3 - I pm'd you. I just got a Sabina (jack with the metal ratchet) and it came with instructions that I'd be happy to share with you if you still need them.
Mine is in need of a lot of clean up (apparently stored in the attic for 20 years) but the cherry wood is cleaning up nicely and it's pretty sturdy once set up.
Another quick, cheap and easy quill is just using a cut-to-length plastic straw. I'm all thumbs when it comes to making a quill!
Which versions of the app are up for offer? Ipod, Iphone, ipad or Android (or the multiplatform use option?)
