Nice Job!
Your rug looks great, ReedGuy. The colors are especially pleasing. What did you think about warping carpet warp at 30 e.p.i.? I've been experimenting with carpet warp and dense setts and would be interested in your ideas.

It worked fine, warping it. I use a warping mill on 8/4 warp and spread with the reed. I use a 16 dent reed and pull the pass pairs through from one set of sticks to another. I leave the 16th dent open, so I get 30 epi for beaming. I then thread and so on, and use a 10 dent reed to weave. It worked well, with tension, better than I first thought, until I began weaving. Wove up nice and full weft coverage. The first rug, in the same structure, I wove at 24 epi, it was good, but 30 epi is much better. Both rugs stand on end on their own, beat nice and tight. First on open shed then closed for a couple wallops. :)
