Notes:

Pattern weft is also 10/2 merc cotton, but double passes. Slow weaving, but nice results. :)

Miniatures of this draft would probably function better, but these will be enjoyed as they are. The back side is a different treadling for the pattern, similar to point twill. Same tie up and threading.

missing notes

I noticed that some of the notes are missing in the post. I'm going to make placemats, but to do so I have to double them, fold them top to bottom and hem the 3 edges. These will be used with my new table cloth posted in my projects. The draft is good on one side.

This draft was from Donna Sullivan's 'Weaving Overshot' , page 106. Amodification of Irish rose. She made a Christmas stocking, a candy cane and a tree ornament from the draft, pictured in her book.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting. :)

short temple

I had to make a small (short) temple this morning out of maple to releave the draw-in I'm experiencing. I'll see how that makes things behave for now.

ReedGuy, I just want to hang

ReedGuy, I just want to hang out with you!  Oh, I need a temple, let me just go whip one up in the shop.  I love it.  The red placemats are just beautiful.  I just got myself a copy of Donna Sullivans book.  I shall put it next to my bed for some dream weaving.
