Notes:

Caron Simply Soft is perfect for baby blankets as it's very soft and washable.  Like all acrylics, it's toxic and also flammable so I warned the recipient to limit bare skin exposure and avoid open flames with this blanket.

Shadow weave!

How fun! Color and weave effects are much fun to weave — if you are willing to manipulate two shuttles.

I have also used this yarn for a blanket. My recipient was an elderly person, and I needed a material that would survive a nursing home laundry facility. The blanket was inherited by a grandson after that, and ironically, I wove that project in a color-and-weave effect pattern too. (It might have even been in greens, my favorite.)
