2/17 lambswool yarn used to make a heavyweight Maclean of Duart tartan cloth. Originally, I had the project planned at 26 epi and changed it at the last minute to 28 epi. This definetly was the better choice as it create a very balanced weave (I measured throughout the project to the mm). The kilt is 100% hand sewn and constructed using mostly traditional methods.
Congratulations on producing such a masterful piece of handweaving! It really must have taken a lot of dedication and effort. I enjoyed looking at how the kilt was pleated and sewn. I imagine it was very satisfying to have all those perfect checks overlapped and aligned.
Great job and amazing work, both weaving and hand sewing. :)
