personally I found it came out more balanced with an equal number of background threads each side of the end pattern threads. The page its on suggest 2 extra on the left side which i couldnt get on with.
The thing i love about it is that it works up quite quickly and seems more complex than it is. all my friends look at it and think im some kind of weaving prodigy. thank god I hide most of my projects!
