Cool!
Your project reminds me of the "Hippie Bags" we used to carry years ago. Remember those?
I like this. I agree with
I like this. I agree with repweaver. I am a child of the 60's/70's, so this kind of design really appeals to me. I'd love to see the finished project.
Yes!
My first rigid heddle was a plastic and wood affair I bought for $20 in 1981 or thereabouts. My first project was a "hippie bag" that I had until my house burned (with a weaving on the same old rigid heddle) in 2001.
I'm updating the old style that was open on top and had a twisted cord handle stitched to the sides. I've cut some iron-on fleece (pretty thick) that I'm going to fuse to the bag before sewing side seams. I'm going to make a lining with pockets (zipped and open), and a easy-sew zippered closure. I'm warping my inkle loom later today to weave the matching strap. First, I have to go make some money, so no weaving till later.
I hope you could find some of
I hope you could find some of these fabric patches to sew on you bag Chris,,,remember these repweaver?

and make some bead strings to have hang off in a cluster.
