Hockett not Authorized

Edit: Below, I make a comment about a loom manufacturer not paying a "Weavolution tax" to have their products listed. I meant it in humor, but it came out poorly. I have not removed that comment because it would make the Administrator's response seem confusing or odd. So, instead, I simply apologize for my inappropriate statement.  /Edit.

I bought a Hockett tapestry loom. This website will not allow me to post a project with a loom built by a manufacturer they do not recognize. The loom in question is sold on multiple internet sites, but I guess they have not paid their Weavolution tax. I will post my progress with this loom on another site.

No appreciable progress on the orchid on the Schacht (approved manufacturer) loom, nor the hand-made (approved manufacturer) sloppy copper loom, although some progress has been made on both.

Shifting gears. I started too big. Going smaller to complete a project in short enough time to keep my interest for now.

Deke,

Thank you for brining to our attention this missing manufacturerer. We would like to publically say there is no such thing as a Weavolution Tax. We do not charge suppliers to be listed in yarns or looms section. However, we do restrict the addition of manufacturers to administrators. The explanation for this is to keep the site spam free and the ensure correct spelling, etc. Please contact us via e-mail with the information for this manufacturer and we will add it to the list.

We look forward to hearing more about your progress and weaving adventures.

Cheers,

Erica

It was said tongue-in-cheek. But I apologize. It is possible somebody might read that and actually believe it. I would edit it, but then your response would seem odd. Probably best to leave it as it is, with your very clear response immediately following.
