I still had some 'gifted' single ply wool left and also some left over from my previous hand dyed weave projects and wanted to do a variation of a Shepard`s Check in plain twill. First I thought of just the natural with either the blue or the green and then decided to put it all together. There are 112 ends to the warp. I first sleyed the 10 epi reed and wove the sample. That made it weft dominate and did not show the warp color stripes as well as I liked so I cut it off and resleyed at 15epi. This pattern was designed to be 16 count on the neutral and 8 count each on the colors but as I was weaving the only way the neutrals would look square was to make 20 weft passes. Anyway, close enough for what I want as this is still "continued practice".
Scarf is cut from loom, hemmed and wet finished then dried. Did not get a photo today - will try to get it in tomorrow.
