I like this style. I have seen the words 'rep weave' in reference to dish towel kits. I shall search to see and learn more.

If you were using 8/2 cotton for warp, what was your sett to make the warp cover the filler?  And did you use several strands of the 8/2 for your thick weft?  If so, how many?  If not, what did you use?

Hi, Peg.Cherre

These were sett at 48 e.p.i. That seemed a bit dense but it worked nicely. For thick weft I used an unmarked cone of thick, yellow yarn that had been on my shelf for a very long time. It was a little on the thin side but the bright yellow peeking out at the selvedges made me happy.

Notes

These coasters from four separate warps are the result of an effort to use up small amounts of various 8/2 cottons. With each successive warp I learned something new. Weaving them was so much fun that I saved the warp to tie on at least one more color way. Even now I'm juggling colors among the rest of my leftover yarns.

Update: In all, there were six different colorways of this design. By Christmas I was able to give six-packs of coasters, one from each of the six warps. These were really fun to weave and fun to give.
