I'm not sure it's "on" for me to post about a quilt exhibition as our first topic, but it is of very high quality so I hope you'll forgive me.  (And do feel free to comment and disapprove, too.)

Clare Plug's exhibition in Hawke's Bay Museum and Art Gallry, "Look South" is on until November and then it travels to Auckland, Christchuch, and Palmerston North, but I don't know when, where, or in what order.  Clare was an Artist in Antarctica in 2006, spending a fortnight at the NZ base.  I don't know her work before her Antarcic experience other than what I see from Googling, but the exhibition catalogue says she was known for monochromatic and dye discharge works.  And her dye discharge is truely stunning.
