This wove up very quickly.  I sure hope that it softens a bit with washing, because this is the stiffest, scratchiest thing I ever wove.  Didnt seem to bother my Flute, though.

I love the colors you ended up with. It will certainly soften up with wet-finishing. Let us know how the finishing goes.

What did you think about working with linen? Is it something you'll do again. Anything you'll do differently next time?

today in class we leasrned that when working with linen a spray bottle is you friend - I found the linen much easier to work with when dampish. . .

when tow yarn shirts were new, they were given to the farm-hands to "break in". When they (the shirts) had been used and washed "enough", the shirts were claimed by the house-folk...

This is a saga often told in Sweden, but I have no idea about the truth of it. So, Gail - *wash and mangle*. Repeat from * to * until enough softness is obtained.
