Double Weave Diversity: Beyond the Basics

In this round robin workshop participants will explore what can be done with multiple layers of cloth on a multi-shaft loom. We will be weaving samples and studying the theory behind a variety of structures including 4-layer weaves, double-width twill cloth, multi-layer color blending, doubleweave checkerboards and windows, and doubleweave twill pick-up.
Students will be using 8-harness table or floor looms warped according to instructions (At the time of registration let us know if you will be bringing your own loom or using one of the Guilds.)

Looms are available to pre-warp May 7 – 13th
