I should have added that weavers who live outside DC are welcome as well, and the hours are expressly designed to be convenient for commuters.  The location is convenient to the Metro and multiple buses, near downtown.

Hi Alaire,

I am unable to make it today, I'm sorry.  I need a few more weeks to heal.  I got the bad news yesterday, although the cast is off, I am still wrapped and need to stay off my ankle.  The walking of taking public transportation, even if you are close to the Metro, is not recommended by my doc at this point.  I am trying to build up and get ready for our big trip out west in September.  We'll be hiking in several National Parks then and I'm hoping my ankle will be ready.  So far, it's been 9 weeks since I tore most of the ligaments in my ankle and about half are not healed.

Please keep me on the list.  I know I will get there, it may be a few months.

Ouch!  I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities to get together, now that we are starting to collect folks.  Summer is never an easy time to catch people anyway.

Your torn ligaments sound awful!  I hope staying off of it doesn't mean you can't sit at the loom and weave!

So, how did it go?  Am anxious to hear about it?

It went well. Five weavers came. We talked weaving (which was great) and took a tour of Alaire's loom run (also fun).

I hope to see you there next time.

For those of you who were there, it was great meeting  you!  For those of you who couldn't make it, hopefully we'll see you in September!  And from all, suggestions are welcome!
