Who is going to Fibre East. We plan to attend, no booth this year though. However, as with everything of late our attendance will be determined by the baby's arrival. I am due 12 July, so it's possible that I'll be there. It would be great to have a meet up of Weavolution members!

Cheers,

Erica

I'm planning to be there .. it's about 10 minutes away so would be silly not to !

There seem to be such a tiny minority of UK people on here though - even though I can find several UK workshops and groups that look excellent. Where are you all ? !

We've had an increase in UK membership since we started putting our promotional materials in Handweaver's Studio. If you know a local shop that might be willing to put out our small postcards, let us know! We're happy to contact shops and mail materials to get the word out here! We intended to foccially attend events such as Fibre East this year, but couldn't get insurnace sorted in time. Expect to see a booth from us next year though!

FYI, I've had a few contractions today, but the delivery could still be a ways off. Keep an eye out for us at Fibre East, we'll be wearing our Weavoution T-Shirts! :)

Cheers,

Erica

Hi UK weavers.

I'll be at Fibre East as my local WSD Guild will have a display stall this year.

I hope it goes OK. We've really had very little rain here in the last few weeks (unlike many other places) but it's throwing it down tonight !

I'm disappointed to say that having seen the FB posts on how wet it is at Fibre East today, we're going to have to call it a miss this year. My due date was Thursday and in the last two days things have become less comfortable. I think troding around in the wet and mud is probably not a good idea at 40 weeks pregnant!

I'm sure those of you who are in attendance will have a great time! Beth, I shall see you again at a Guild meeting in the future.

Cheers,

Erica

It's slushy but not flooded, and there's a great atmosphere despite the weather. But you're probably better off not falling over !

I found it interesting, plenty to look at, bought a book and quite by accident found Beth on the Cambridge stand. Nice to meet you !

It seems to be particularly aimed at spinners and dyers (I realise that's a lot of weaver's interests covered too) but I'd also be interested in seeing some complex weaving, dobby looms, drawlooms etc. Not that i'm capable of doing that yet, but I do like to ogle!

Any idea where I might see those at a show ?
