Woven Treasures book

I just got Sara Lambs book in the mail and just wanted to say how beautiful it is, and what a great book!  She's really taken the essence of why we weave and condensed it into a small format that makes sense in the modern world.  What a joy. Thanks Sara!

Hi Marie,

that sounds very tempting. Could you tell us a lttle more about the book, so one can look it up somewhere?

I am always ready to be tempted by fantastic books, yarns,homepages,.....:-)

Sara has taken a number of time-consuming weaving techniques and developed a gorgeous little series of bags with it. I love the idea-- small portable projects using traditional techniques but in a fresh way.  Very inspiring!

My copy came today!

It was certainly worth the wait.  Lots of eye candy, along with all the techniques broken down in easy to comprehend pieces.  I'm looking forward to trying some new to me weaving!

I took Sara's class that taught the techniques in the book.  It was a lot of fun and it actually goes pretty quickly using the materials she suggests beginning with.  You can see my in-process project at http://www.weavolution.com/node/2216.

I found the class very inspiring and have many many projects semi-planned as a result.  I haven't gotten the book yet but it is high on my next-purchases list!  The technique is very adaptable and I want the book to reinforce both the skills and the inspiring ideas.

I can't wait to see other projects posted.  It would be great if people would post links to their projects here (as I did) so we can see them.
