I'll be there (taking Jannie Taylor's workshop), and so will my wedding-dress!
Who else is going?
Me! Taking Robyn Spady's inkle class and Syne Mitchell's RH one. (provided my airline tickets show up!)
Ooh neat! I hope I get to meet you!
Please do stop by the Glimakra booth and say hello.
I'll be there! I am taking Kathe Todd-Hooker's Soumak class on Saturday. I'll be working in the spinning corral on Friday afternoon, and generally around, doing whatever needs to be done. Drop by and say hello!
And Franco -- It's still not too late to sign up for classes! We are still accepting registrations. There will be limited classes available for walk-ins. We don't know what they are yet, and they will be available on a first come first serve. So check in at the registration desk if you are interested. You should come prepared with class materials that you might be interested in attending though.
See you all next week!
Gee... I wish I lived in northern Calif.... or had a few extra bucks to get there! Have fun everyone!
CHCH - Conference of Northern California Handweavers
I'll be there on Saturday. With the kind generosity of one of the other weavers, will be taking Syne Mitchell's class on Rigid Heddle weaving Beyond the Basics.
I hope to meet a few of you at the conference.
Have a good day!
I will be there. I am taking Linda Kubic's Color Theory class and Robin Spady's Weaving TNT. (one is all day Friday and one is Sunday morning). I am very much looking forward to seeing the wedding ensamble in the fashion show and gallery, and excited for the vendors hall. It would be great fun to meet some of you there!
See you this weekend!
Tien, it was absolutely stunning tonight! I can't wait to see it in the gallery tomorrow!
The fashion show was so much fun! The MC was a scream.Tien looked gorgeous. Great class with Robin Spady today. I bought an inklette. The piece I entered in the gallery won first prize in the wall hanging section :-)
Thanks for all the news Laverne. Congratulations on first prize. Which piece is it? Is it here on Weavolution in your projects? Let us know so we can enjoy it too.'
Glad to hear you are having a good time at CNCH.
Thanks Claudia. I entered my sashes-I have three done but eventually it will be a set of seven or eight. These three are all Bolivian designs from the lowlands, central and upper highlands-three different pick up techniques.
On my projects page...
I am in Syne Mitchell's RH class today and so is Franco. Janet is in Daryl Lancaster's jacket class.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall and see you all.
Better, wish I were there with you.
Thanks but I am not the only Weavolution winner- there is another multiple winner out there-no prizes for guessing who!! And here's a fun picture!!....
The fashion show...
Thanks for posting the picture. It was wonderful meet you, Janet, Linda, Tien, Syne and others!
It was a great day in class. The picture above has Franco in the red shirt and Syne Mitchell in black, holding the clipboard loom that I made.
I'll have some pictures from the class later.
Thank you for everything Laverne!
It was a good day!
