Agree, Sally! Carol's doing great outreach on sprang!
There's more in this issue: a how-to article by Carol, a short article on some spinning for sprang that Stephenie Gaustad did, and a bit by Carol about adding twist to commercial yarns for use in sprang.
I've taken workshops by Carol and Stephenie; both great teachers.
The author of this article, Carol James, will be teaching a sprang class during Fiber Week in Olds, Alberta, in June 24 and 25, 2014. Check out http://www.oldscollege.ca/fibreweek
Carol will be teaching another sprang class at Handweavers Guild of America in Providence, Rhode Island. Carol will give a 90 minute lecture, detailing the making of that replica of George Washington's sash. Check out the website http://www.weavespindye.org/convergence2014.
Or, you could sign up for the on-line class, available here on Weavolution.

I happened to have seen it a few weeks ago!
It was FANTASTIC! (She was one of the presenters at the Weaving History Conference in Clayton, NY).
And when she's not working on significant projects like that, she's doing this (and wearing her Sprang, too!)
More sprang in this issue too
