Selvedge help: wool/silk blend
I’m weaving the salt ‘n pepper scarf from a recent issue of Handwoven. It uses Findley yarn from Jupiter Moon Which is a 50% wool / 50% silk blend. It is coming along well but I have to fiddle with the selvedge so much! It’s taking forever. Are there certain yarns that just don’t make the selvedge turn easily and if yes, are there any recommendations for how to mange this? Right now I’m basically throwing each pick twice, fist as I normally would and then again to adjust at the selvedge to avoid big loops. I haven’t had this problem with other fibers. I’m definitely still a novice and appreciate any advice. Thanks!
