MAFA Fellowships and the Dorosh Award

We're getting close. Late registration begins April 1. That is also the deadline for changing your initial class selection or canceling your registration. An updated list of open and filled classes is here .

For those already planning to attend, especially weavers, please consider applying for a MAFA Fiber Fellowship.   The fellowship application deadline is also April 1st.  Awardees will be notified by May 15th.

Fellowship recipients are conference attendees who agree to share knowledge gained at the conference in some post-conference setting, which could be a presentation to a guild or the public, or teaching, demonstration, etc. All fiber crafts and experience levels are welcome. The amount of fellowship awards is not fixed, but they are substantial.  Fellowships are not scholarships to attend the conference.

This year especially, weavers should consider applying. The Ellen Dorosh Fund will support a fellowship for a weaver, who must also be a MAFA guild (not associate) member. There is no special application process for the Dorosh Award. All fellowship applications that meet the Dorosh Award criteria will be considered.
