Piles weaves have a variety of uses from rugs, to bags to luxurious wall hangings, what inspired your sample? What are your thoughts on piles weaves?
I have been weaving pile weaves, loop and knotted, but I have only done plain weave ground, so not really loom controlled. But for anyone reading this who might have made the same assumption I did, I have to say I found both loop pile and knotted pile far more enjoyable that I anticipated! I will share photos here, hopefully mid-June after my portfolio has been assessed!
It must feel great to have your portfolio nearly done. Bravo.
I'm thinking about a double weave blanket these days. Then I can check off that chapter. It seems doable.
Double weave is so fun. A blanket would be awesome. You can also do exchanging layers and create a shuttle holder to hang on the wall. That is probably something I should do when I fnish with my portfolio samples.
