Macomber looms

I know it is hard to find info on Macomber looms online- the builders don't have a website themselves [probably don't have the time!]. I love these looms, sturdy and ready for hard work, so I was really happy to find a mention of this new-ish blog this morning.

Sarah Haskell, a Macomber dealer in York Maine has begun a blog about the looms and manufacturer, and has some really good info so far, plus nice shots of new looms being built.

I did not realize they were still being built.  That's a great resource for Macomber users and for those thinking of buying one.

Thanks,

Right now there are lots of Macombers on the market. See the buy/ sell forum A college in CA is selling 10 40" 4h Macombers for around $300 each. I have ordered parts though Sarah and the shipped price was higher then the price Sarah gave me. I told Sarah, that she, Rick and Eddie need to get on the same page.  Sarah did sent me the differance in the price. Other then that she is a great person to talk to on the phone. If you live in ME there is a 56 inch 16H w/23(?) petals for $1200.

Great link ! I'm adding it to my Google reader. I purchased an Ad-a-Harness from someone on craigslist for $100. I thought it was the steal of the century. I just wish I could get my weaving to do it justice :( (I'm a beginner). If anyone has any hints for re-tying the pedals (treadles ?) they need some help. They are literally "hanging by a thread".
