Trying to weave while sick

One of the things I've learned the hard way is that when I'm sick, there's little point in trying to do things that require any sort of mental alertness.  It's also not a good idea to go to the loom when you are angry - unless you're weaving a rug! - or stressed, unless you can use the time at the loom to set aside those stressful/angry thoughts and allow the physical act of weaving to allow you to relax.

I find weaving very theraputic on many levels.  But when I'm sick, like I am this week with a nasty cold, I limit myself to doing things that don't tax my limited brain power and do things that are rote.  If I'm very careful I can wind warps, rough sley reeds, etc., but threading a complex pattern?  Been there and messed up too often.

Hope everyone is enjoying good weather - summer has arrived with a vengence here - temperatue well into the 30's (C) possibly as high as 36 tomorrow.  The a/c is very welcome.

So sorry to  hear you are not feeling well Laura.  I hope you wake up tomorrow morning feeling good as new!

You are so right about trying to do things when you don't feel well.  You almost always have to fix the mistakes you've made.

Gorgeous summer day FINALLY here on Lake Champlain!

Yes, summer colds seem especially cruel for some reason.  :}  But I've learned not to push - just way too easy to make disastrous errors.........   :}
