Coordinate transportation to or from the conference.
I have become aware that some folks are trying to figure out ways to get from the airport to the site, or from train stations to the conference site.
Please post if you are seeking information, or want to share a ride with someone. You can initiate an "PM" (private message) through Weavolution if someone responds to your query (and you are uncomfortable posting your all your travel details here.)
Can a CW member join a tour without having to take the bus from the conference center? For instance, could someone just meet the group at the site and then at the conclusion of the tour, drive down to the conference center independently? (Assuming the person is a member of CW, and registered for the conference.)
Would the price for the tour be less, since there was no transportation involved?
Are there any openings left on the tours?
Log into registration to see of there are any tour openings. As yo whether you can tag along providing your own transportation, and as to whether ther would be a price reduction, contact the chair. Contact info is at www.complex-weavers.org/seminar.htm
Three of us are taking the Winterthur tour on Wednesday. Because we live in NJ, it made sense for us to meet the tour there, and, yes, we are able to do that. We just have to pay $37 for the tour once we get there. The bulk of the cost is the bus from the 4-H center.
I live in Newark, Delaware and will be driving to the conference on Wednesday leaving around noon. I have room for another person in my car if you don't like to drive long distances.
PM me if interested.
One of my guildmates from JHW mentioned she was considering just what you are planning. I'll see her tonight, and have her check the site to see if there are any openings.
I'm arriving at Washington-Regan (DCA) at 2pm on Wednesday the 12th. Want to share a shuttle if you're arriving at the same place at about the same time? Suzi
Sneakers to meet on the porch of the main building @ 6:30 if interested. We are in a great neighborhood!
Anyone else have a car, and want to find some seafood for Sat eve? I have room for 3 passengers.
