Finally finished some towels

I hemmed and wet finished my Acadian tea towels beofre going to weaving class this morning. THey have been sitting here waiting to be finished for a couple fo weeks - so not too long, but one less UFO to worry about. Cut six twoels off the loom this afternoon and will hope to get them hemmed and wet finished before the end of the month!

Lovely!  Those would go beautifully with my china.  Would you consider a swap for a the handspun/handwoven shawl described in an earlier post to this thread?  I have about a yard done so far.

As to other projects, I got rid of my husband aka The Old Toad to a conference this weekend, so it will be at  least a day of wool washing for the lion and the commission piece.  I met last night with the commission lady, and she is leaning towards my network-drafted undulating twills, which really are unique.  I'll let her and her family define the curves.

these are really tiny towels - I would consider them fingertip towels. But I am willing to swap! I want to do some like these but full size dish towels at some point - need to order some 10/2 cotton. . . . Tina

Maybe we should organize a tea towel swap thread.  I could do some on Baby.  I almost never do towels, and also almost never use someone else's drafts, but Handwoven has some really tempting towels on the cover of the latest issue.

I have some very fine spun flax and also hemp already spun that I could use for towels or napkins.

My biggest challenge would be to keep towels out of the hands of the household philistines AKA males who use nice textiles for things like hotpads, paint rags, dog bandages, etc. if they are not locked up.
