Hey all,

For the double-happiness ribbon that will run down the front of my wedding dress, I want to use a wool warp.  (That will let me shape the ribbon with steam so it curves gracefully around the neck.)  But I can't seem to find a wool warp yarn in the 7000 ypp range.  I would like a relatively lustrous wool, or feltable wool-silk mix - but I'll settle for anything in the 7000 ypp range that might work.

Zephyr is the obvious choice, but at only 5040 ypp it would require changing scale substantially.  Anyone know of a better option?  (I know about Colourmart, but their 100% wool yarns aren't strong enough to use as warp.)  It needs to be either white or off-white in color, but other than that I'm flexible.

Any suggestions or leads would be most welcome.

Thanks!

Tien

Hi Tien--

Silk City makes a 2/28 100% Merino that is 7000 ypp and comes in a variety of colors including white and off white.
