HEY-THERE-FRANK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just found your group and enjoyed following thru the various projects being discussed.

Some of our projects have taken us into your area and are shown listed under MY PROJECTS, but been unable to work an interesting display as you have, due to my 'slow typing'  disability !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome on board 52OZARKWEAVERS! Yep, restoration always seems to lead to more home built items, and useful modifications to our equipment. Your stock of seasoning hardwood is just what we mean "Use What You Have"! I look forward to seeing what you are building with it! Regards, Frank. P.S. Don't let slow typing hold you back, I'm up to four fingers since I started the group!

THANK-YOU-KINDLY for your ' quick-return ' and I'll be git'n-the-pics needed to show some use of recent other woods we have around here. Your shuttle-mak'n took-my-eye, so thats where we'll most-likely start !!!!!!!

Does anyone out there have some experience making shuttles out of Carob or Eucalyptus wood? I brought some home from my brother's property in CA, now being stored for drying, so seeking advise ahead-a-time. Will try to get some pics on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds like a very tasty choice for shuttles. Carob has a beautiful grain character, and Eucalyptus is tough as nails when seasoned. I haven't made anything with them yet, so I'll be watching for your projects! Regards, Frank.
