Here is one of the knotted handbag straps that I am undoing and recycling into my project
This is what the strap looks like undone
6mm satin ribbon stitched to the wrong side of leather-This idea is reejected,because of the amount of time it would take to stitch ribbon to each strip, the weight of the ribbon, and i dont like the stitching
Opposite side of sample. I am going to try spray apinting the backside of the leather. Hopefully the paint will be absorbed into the leather and not rub off.
