"Christmas Holly" Double Weave Full Queen Blanket with 8 shafts

Notes

The magic of double width weaving. :)

This wool (Heritage - 860 yards/lb) is quite heavy for a 16 dent reed, slightly finer weight 2-ply called Softspun (960 yardfs/lb) or lighter still is Regal (1088 yards/lb) available at Briggs and Little retailers. The mill suggests all three are suitable for blanket weaving.

To do this again, I would not use the cotton yarn at the fold, just weave as is. You can see the fold line at the rim of the couch back. Also I had a couple threading errors on the heddles and a few skips because of the error. Nothing serious, just an annoyance. I blanket stitched the ends by hand.
