I was afraid the Patons yarn would be too heavy and densely sett for this weft ( I only have a 10 dent reed so my options are a little limited sometimes as regards the sett) but it's coming out lovely. Just in case, had bought "contingency plan weft yarn" to switch it out if my initial inch or two were obviously becoming a little wonky. I'm glad I won't have to use it for this project, because I found a wonderful match for the contingency yarn in my stash... so the next project is in the works!
Finished! From start of warping to wet-finishing, I'd guess this took a little under 16 hours. Maybe that's a long time for a scarf... but I'm getting faster!!! I fear the Paton's isn't as soft as I hoped it would finish up... I'll know for certain once it's finished drying. I had some trouble with the weft yarn... I've used Amazing loads of times and I've never had it pull apart in sections the way this one ball did on me. Hm.. I never got a bad skein of yarn before! AND the little sneaks gave me a skein with a break in it that was actually knotted together. *%$^%$##!!! Jerks. Anyhow I'm pleased with the end product. With any luck the recipient will let me put her picture on here wearing it! :-)
