I'm refurbishing an old Union 36 and the treadle chains were detached. I have the manual but it has no photo or instruction to help me tie it back up. Can someone help me out, please? I've searched the Web for photos but haven't found any photos that show which of the 4 chain ends goes to which eye on the bottom of the harness.

If you have four treadles and no lamms, just shafts, you tie treadle 1 to shaft 2, treadle 2 to shaft 2, etc. If you have lamms, you can tie each treadle to more than one shaft, and the pattern that you are weaving has the tie up in it.
